In this session, we will provide a historical background of the Arkansas Course Transfer System (ACTS) as well as the impact of Career and Technical Education (CTE) in the state of Arkansas. We will pose the reasons why and potentially how CTE courses should be added to ACTS. Lastly, we will highlight the details of a pilot project that utilizes education courses as CTE courses to address the teacher shortage issue in the state.
